Since the beginning of 2017, I have been working as a reporter for DER SPIEGEL, Europe´s leading news magazine and for www.spiegel.de, Germany´s leading news website.
Between 2017 and 2020, I worked for CAPITAL, Germany´s premier business magazine. From 2015 to 2016, I was an economic reporter for DIE ZEIT, Germany´s largest weekly newspaper. From 2012 to 2014, I worked for CAPITAL and SPIEGEL ONLINE.
My main topics are mobility, Europe, energy, climate and environment and the global economy.
Between 2005 and 2012, I worked for FINANCIAL TIMES DEUTSCHLAND as a finance correspondent, as a reporter and as an EU/NATO correspondent. Before that, I worked for BMW corporate communications and for DEUTSCHE WELLE, Germany international TV and radio broadcaster. During university, I was a freelancer for FRANKFURTER ALLGEMEINE ZEITUNG, WELT AM SONNTAG and TAGESSPIEGEL, amongst others.
I studied business administration, law and political science in Muenster, Madrid und Brussels. After my PhD about the Belgian nationality conflict, I wrote a book about Belgium´s political system.
I used to live in Madrid, Brussels and Rio de Janeiro, and I spent a couple of months in each Rome, Lisbon and Dallas. This is why I speak English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch and Italian fluently. In 2015, I started to learn Arabic.
